What we collect

Calculator usage

The Variable Annuity Calculator runs entirely in your browser. No investment amounts, ages, or simulation parameters are sent to our servers. We do not see or store any of the data you enter into the calculator.

We do not process, store, or transmit any financial transaction data. No financial data entered into the calculator leaves your browser.

Analytics

We use the following third-party analytics services:

• Google Analytics 4 — collects anonymised page views, session duration, referral sources, device type, and approximate geographic location. We use this to understand which pages are most useful and how visitors find us.
• Hotjar — records anonymised heatmaps and session recordings to help us improve the user experience. Hotjar does not capture keystrokes in form fields.
• LinkedIn Insight Tag — tracks conversions from LinkedIn advertising campaigns. Collects LinkedIn member data for campaign optimisation.

Contact form

If you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. This data is processed by Web3Forms and delivered to our inbox. We use it only to respond to your inquiry and do not add you to any mailing list unless you opt in.

Cookies

We use cookies for:

• Analytics — Google Analytics and Hotjar set cookies to track sessions and returning visitors.
• LinkedIn — The LinkedIn Insight Tag sets cookies for ad measurement.

We do not use cookies for advertising targeting beyond LinkedIn campaign measurement. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. The calculator will continue to work without cookies.

How we use your data

• To improve the website and calculator based on usage patterns
• To respond to contact form inquiries

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Data retention

• Analytics data: Retained by Google Analytics for 14 months, Hotjar for 365 days.
• Contact form submissions: Retained in our email inbox until resolved, then archived.
